( Wei Wuxian tracks down Lan Xichen following the second platform of Llama with a smile, and a book in hand. Waving once he catches sight of him, he calls out: )
Zewu-jun! I've brought you something!
( Something he knows was not in the Lan Library Pavilion on his world, for... reasons, so hopefully it's new or at least interesting for the man.
The Midnight of my Youth had been a more odd choice in his reading when he was younger, but he recollected the poetry that had actually kept his attention, and that's why once the novel had been ordered he intended to present it to someone else who, probably, did a lot of reading, absentmindedly thinking hey, maybe he would enjoy the novel too! )
[ Though admittedly not that hard to find, with the garden car being there, it is still slightly surprising to be sought after to be given something...
... probably will be more surprising once he figures out what the thing is. ]
Would you like to join me for a little while? If you are quiet for a little while, Wangji's rabbits might even show themselves.
( He smiles, briefly, then without ceremony, accepts the invitation. )
They've nosed around me before, they're cute. The black one's even pretty bold!
( As in has tried to and succeeded in scaling Wei Wuxian in the past, not that Wei Wuxian attempts to be anything but scalable for the rabbits. Or children, though truly young children are not on the train, just in worlds before.
He's in an easy sprawl, looking at some of the greenery around him, rather than his companion for the moment. He likes it here, no matter how structured it is: the green feels more grounding than near every other carriage here. )
What was it like, once the rabbits moved onto the back mountain?
[ Jiang Cheng had bought snacks. He had intended some of them to be payment for the spider girl, in return for some robes, but he can always buy more. The problem is that there's someone else he has to thank first and he hasn't been particularly good at being kind to them.
They certainly deserve it.
That's what brings him to Xichen's room, hovering awkwardly before he slams his hand against the door a few times, looking around with a nervousness that does not befit a Sect Leader. ]
[ Xichen's voice comes from... the hallway, actually, his long hair slightly damp - he does not spend too much time in the cabin, other than the unavoidable waking up there, but his things are stored there and returning things like the towel after perusing the spa car...
Anyway. ]
Have you been knocking for long? I do apologize. [ He steps up to use his ticket to open the cabin, which is... well, probably empty. Spider, cat, and girl - none of them have too much reason to spend in here. ]
[ Jiang Cheng doesn't much like the way his cheeks heat up a little - maybe he's lucky and there's no one inside hearing him bang around as if he's here to pick a fight.
He isn't, for once, so they're lucky. His eyes flick over Xichen's face for a moment before he coughs and steps back and out of the way. ]
No, not long. Don't worry about it.
[ He hesitates in the doorway and holds out the snacks. ]
[ The point, he wants to say, but he can’t do much in the face of Xichen and his kindness. It’s an impossible thing to resist and the slight relaxing of his shoulders must be a giveaway now.
( lo! but to wake, one day, fully rested, or at least forcibly rested, and to find in the shadow of the door a plush. rabbit in shape, rabbit in feeling, soft to the touch, dressed in a shirt with the letters spelling a q u a f i r. oh, but the soft blues are familiar, and a note, tucked into the front:
for zewu-jun a soft friend wei wuxian (smiling face emoji) )
